Cancellation Policy.

Cancellation Period:

  • Clients are required to provide a minimum notice period for cancellations at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled 1st date of the pet sitting service. Clients may do this either through email: katelynd@oasis-petcare.com or via the Oasis Family Portal or app. If the client cancels with less than a 48-hour notice, they may be subject to fees. Cancellation fees:

  • Cancellations made within the notice period: no fee is incurred.

  • Cancellations made outside the notice period: fee of 50% is incurred.

  • Cancellations made day-of or hours before a booking: full booking fee is incurred.

Exceptions: In the event of an extenuating circumstances such as a medical emergency for your pet or someone in your household, or sudden changes in travel plans due to an unforeseen event (inclement weather, etc)

Rescheduling: The client is able to reschedule their booking within a 24-hour time frame from the cancellation, they will not incur any cancellation fees.

Client Education: It is extremely important for clients to inform their pet sitter as soon as any travel plans change. This is what our pet sitters make for an income, and their schedule is set to a certain availability so if a client cancels outside of the 48 hours’ time frame, there is not enough time for the sitter to acquire another booking, thus leaving them without that money.
